Tips: Pick the Mascara for You

Mascara

When it comes to mascara, we all speak by different techniques. What’s important is that when you put the mascara on, it works its magic and makes you feel fabulous. In a nutshell, I love mascara because it is the only thing that would give me those flirty looking eyes by framing them with long full lashes. Plus, mascara is a must have make-up that would make my eyes bigger... like Sailormoon! LOL!

Let Me Get My Girly Shit: All About Facial Mask

340*365 Grateful-5 Years

Do you use facial masks as part of your skincare routine? I love facial masks, and I personally believe that it is the easiest way to pamper your skin without having to spend a lot of money on skincare products. Apart from it, facial masks never fail to give your skin with a big boost without fuss! Whether it is a cream, peel-off, or sheet based facial mask, I always find that facial mask is a great way to de-stress myself as well as enjoying other benefits from this one easy application. I usually put on my facial mask before bedtime since I'm not keen at applying night cream on my face as it would only leave my skin oily in the next morning. These are some of the facial masks which I would recommend you (and some of them are on sale right now!).

Rants: Eat, Sleep and Breathe the Internet

When Abraham Maslow published a paper on the hierarchy of basic human needs in 1943, the theory only states four (4) needs that must be met before self-actualization can be achieved, i.e. psychological, safety, belonging, and self-esteem. However, considering with the current trends and technology advancement, Maslow's theory needs to be modified by including WiFi as part of human needs to complete the whole self-actualization.

Community: Help Pitas to Build Road

When there is a scarcity in the infrastructure, it means nearly all the rural population are forced to depend on their own subsistence farming for their own food and monetary income. Investment in development and maintenance road infrastructure would contribute towards trade development because road infrastructure opens up unconnected regions to trade and investment. Not only it would improve access to goods, services and employment opportunities, but also leads to sustainable growth and development of the economy which arises due to the multiplier effects of government spending on infrastructure in the economy.

I Wish I'd Said That!

Sometimes I get frustrated as I look at my Facebook timeline. People complaining, insulting, arguing, and keep on re-posting sensitive issues over the Facebook. I would love to see a positive one - with encouraging, and inspiring ones - Enough to make me think that the day is just another challenging phase of life. Rather than wasting my time on Facebook, I'd rather read blogs written by people who share beautiful pictures, sayings, stories, or even ideas with anyone who's willing to look. I believe that they wanted to keep an archive of everything that is important to them - What they believe in, who they believe in, and basically the things that make them feel alive.

Let Me Get My Girly Shit: Handbag

A woman cannot live without her handbag. It's part of trophy of femininity - We put almost everything inside there (you can say we even have spare tampons or G-string inside there). Like the kangaroo’s pouch, it seems part of all we are. You can be sure that a woman has been kidnapped or murdered if the handbag is left behind and the woman is nowhere to be found. If you ask me what's one thing that I cannot live without, besides chocolate of course, my answer would be "It’s a fabulous handbag!"

Starbucks Moment

I seldom spend some times to enjoy the Frappuccino at Starbucks and when I do, I would love to hang there with my Hubby. We would sit there for hours and chat about anything. Our favourite spot is in front of the counter where we find it's rather siok and comfy. Siok enough to cubuk how the staff are doing their work. Macam mysterious shopper lah bah pula kalau begitu.

Here's a photo taken during Sabbath day @ Menggatal Seventh-Day Adventist Church on 20 October 2007. It's an old photo but I still love all photos taken using my Canon 400D.

Zone 5 - Menggatal

I found out the same photo with they've cropped off the 'photographer's name' from this photo. It's pretty sad but I assume that they have no knowledge about it. At least I know that they love my photo sampai guna untuk diorang punya sendiri. Hahahahahah!

Tom Yum Gai (Chicken Tomyum Soup)

Hubby was craving for Tom Yum soup, and he told me that he planned to go tapau after he finished with his workout. I told him just to come home straight from the gym as I'm going to make him a Tom Yum soup. Here's the recipe which I modified a bit (sebab tidak banyak raw materials yang ada dalam dapur). You can get the original recipe here.

The Mirror Test

Jeffrey Hayzlett is an accomplished marketer, and a successful businessman. He was a Vice President and CMO of Kodak. He's not a novel in marketing, and I admire his vast experience. A friend from Goodreads recommends me to read this as he found out that I'm more interested in Marketing, and Management subject.

Noel Cruz's Arts

Noel Cruz is a Filipino artist who transforms mass-produced dolls to create stunningly realistic one-of-a-kind figures of celebrities. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. I'm very impressed with his artworks. Check out for some of his works below.

Cold Thursday

It's still raining outside and hubby still asleep. I wake up and make breakfast for us. I've decided to stay at home today as I've done with the works in the office. Dad has asked me to get ample of rest as I had a few OT last week. While waiting for hubby to get ready, I'm watching this funny Andy Griffith's Play The Game. A very funny movie about the ego between man and woman.

A few slices of Pandan Pudding Cake, and a glass of fresh orange juice for breakfast. It's pretty cold outside, anyway. Hubby has asked me to make Chicken Soup for dinner. It feels so nice to cook for hubby. It makes me happy when he had 2 bowls of rice last evening. I'm going to make Chicken Soup, and Vegetarian Shrimp for dinner later.

As for dinner, I make Chicken Curry with Potatoes. Here's the recipe which I got from Dapur Tanpa Sempadan. By the way, bahan-bahan kasi kurang sebab 2 orang saja bah kami ni makan. I also omit and replace some of the ingredients.

Ginger Chicken in Black Soy Sauce (酱油鸡)

This has been me & my hubby's favourite, and I'm going to cook this for our dinner tonight. It's a very simple recipe, tidak terlampau susah. I found a simple recipe from a blog, and decided to replicate it with my own touch. Habis semua diubah untuk ikut sedap lidah sendiri. Sedap atau tidak itu belakang kira.

Ginger Chicken in Black Soy Sauce
For 2 pax (no need banyak-banyak unless you're a Godzilla)

Ingredients
4 Chicken Drumsticks
2-inch ginger (skin peeled and lightly pounded)
1/2 small bowl Black Soy Sauce (Thick)
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
2 tablespoon chillies sauce
1 tablespoon vegetarian oyster sauce
1 red onion
1 brown onion
4 cloves garlic
Salt/Chicken stock
Sugar/Honey
Water
Cooking oil

Directions
  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce, ginger, red and brown onions, garlic, tomato sauce, chillies sauce, oyster sauce, honey/sugar and salt for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  2. Place the wok over medium high heat and add water, ginger and the chicken pieces
  3. Bring to boil and simmer until chicken pieces are tender and the gravy is thick, about 30 minutes. Top up with more water if the stock dries up.
Ya. Ni malam mau masak. Hahahaha!

Ted Baker's Floral Printed Dress

We were watching E! when suddenly my hubby asked if I would like to go to the Church this Sabbath. I was so glad that he finally raised that 'Sabbath' issue, and remind me to go to the Church. I haven't been to the Church for months, and I'm so happy that he's willing to accompany. Thank you so much, dear. Hubby then asked me if I have a new dress to be worn (as he always see me wearing the same dresses to work).

"Let's get a new dress for you. No more mustard or pink dresses. My eyes can't bear to look at those colors anymore."
