Bila bercakap tentang amalan pemakanan sihat, jangan lupa untuk memasukkan buah-buahan dan sayur-sayuran berwarna ungu dalam diet anda. Sebabnya buah-buahan dan sayur-sayuran tersebut mengandungi antosianin, ia-itu pigmen asli berwarna merah, biru dan ungu. Menurut J. Scott Smith, profesor kimia makanan dari Kansas State University, antosianin adalah baik untuk kesihatan kerana ia adalah antioksidan yang kuat dan boleh meningkatkan fungsi sistem imun, mengekalkan kesihatan dan mengelakkan penyakit.

“Kini antioksidan menjadi bualan ramai,” kata Smith lagi. “Semua orang berminat dengan antioksidan kerana ia dipercayai baik untuk kesihatan.”

Antosianin lebih lazim didapati dari buah-buahan berbanding sayur-sayuran, kata Smith, memerhatikan warna merah pekat dan ungu pada kulit epal dan anggur. Disebabkan antosianin sensitif kepada pH, ia akan kelihatan lebih merah atau biru bergantung kepada jenis makanan.

Antosianin biasa terdapat dalam buah beri; seperti blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, blackberry dan anggur merah (dan juga acaiberry, elderberry dan buah delima*).

“Itu sebablah mengapa orang berkata ‘makan buah beri anda’, kerana ia sangat baik untuk kesihatan,” kata Smith.

Kata Smith lagi, ekstrak makanan yang mengandungi antosianin juga baik untuk kesihatan. Trend terkini industri makanan adalah menggunakan warna asli bagi menggantikan warna tiruan. Antosianin boleh diekstrak dari buah-buahan atau sayur-sayuran dan digunakan sebagai pewarna asli dalam makanan.

Wain merah diperbuat dari anggur, oleh itu ia juga mengandungi antosianin. Selain itu ia juga mengandungi resveratrol, sejenis antioksidan dan baik untuk kesihatan jantung.

Menurut Smith lagi, terdapat beberapa makanan ungu yang tidak begitu dikenali juga mengandungi antosianin. Sejak berkurun penduduk Amerika Selatan menanam jagung ungu. Terdapat juga bunga kubis ungu dan karot ungu.

Warna merah pekat dan ungu pada ubi bit bukan disebabkan oleh antosianin, kata Smith. Warna ungu pada ubi bit datangnya dari pigmen betalen, yang menggantikan antosianin dalam sesetengah pokok. Betalen juga adalah antioksidan yang baik untuk kesihatan.

I’m in the middle of working on with my business plan. Hahahahah~ It’s for my individual assignment for Entrepreneurship Project Management. I have a nice idea after drove around Inanam just now. Ya… My target is around Inanam Taipan Commercial Shop Lots there… Macamlah I’m going to open a business ooo kan? Why not juga… I can always propose my business plan bah. But for now let me finish up my assignment dulu. To make it a reality will need more long-term planning. Hehehehehe~ Have a nice weekend! XD

KENTE sudah habis… Ya… I thought I can relax lah kunun… Tau-tau I still have some assignments to be done plus some *tasks* which I need to get them into my OUT box before end of this month. I will be sitting for my final exam on early May. Frankly speaking, I haven’t study any of the chapters yet… Ummm… Since early this semester. I allow you to say that I’m out of my mind, insane, etc. Wahahahaha! Anyway, yang penting dan important is to get all these things done! No last minutes punya because I hate it… Kerja rumah jan last minutes tapi kalau balajar bulih last minute de… Hahahaha! WARNING: Please don’t do this at home… Cewah!

Truly Darth Vader

I was searching out for Darth Vader Theme piano sheet music over the Internet just now when I stumbled over this youtube. She sure spreads the dark aura… Muahahahaha! Ini barulah Darth Vader! Dunno why I’m in the mood of playing the piano… I’m so malas mo buat assginment sekarang! Muahahahaha~ Sudah siap pun bah assignment. Muahahahah~ Why not buang karan main piano.

SUMANDAK BILANG: Injured my fingers in 2004 dan kesan dia sampai sekarang… Mau 6 bulan couldn’t even run over the piano keys… Kena kasi buang kaca from my middle fingers on my left hand… Bagas dia masih ketara bah sampai sekarang. At least sekarang sia masih bulih main piano… Paling teruk bila I had to ask my friends to help me type itu group assignments sebab susah sia mo menaip gara-gara jari yang injured. Salah sendiri juga bah… Sendiri cari nahas… Muahahhaha~
